Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1-2 years Med/Surg experience preferred 2. Cases: Neurological disorders (Stroke, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, inflammatory disorders of the brain and spinal cord), spinal surgery (post-operative neuro-surgery, ortho-surgery, Laminectomy, Spinal Fusion), step-down/telemetry, bariatric, and seizure patients (age 5 and up) 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; NIHSS required or must be willing to complete prior to start 4. License: Michigan RN license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC and Pyxis 7. Shifts/Call: Will work every other weekend; may float to other Med/Surg Units, ICU Units, and ED waiting rooms; nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4 or 1:5; will consider 36 or 48 hour weeks (notate preference); offering up to 26 weeks (notate preference) 8. RTO: No holiday requests; dates may be discussed with manager to determine if the unit can accommodate 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10.
