Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Variable med-surg unit with focus on cardiac and neurology services. Stroke certified, hip and knee certified, colorectal cancer certified, ERAS, general surgical patients, occasional GYN surgeries, hospice, cardiac services, pre and post cath, tele neurology, oncology 3. Certifications: BCLS and NIH required; ACLS preferred; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC required 7. Shifts/Call: 12HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15; Every other weekend required; Floating required to other Med/Surg units 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays); Must work 2 of 3 major holidays; No RTO during first week; All RTO must be pre-approved; Cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; Disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission; facility approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate; Unit will accept 1st time travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules non-billable; Acute Care 8-10 hours; Non-Acute 4-5 hours; Must be completed pre-start and annually; Conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13.
