- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Medical/Surgical unit focused on new technologies and innovative nursing practice; patient diagnoses include Cellulitis, Pneumonia, Dementia, Renal Failure, Malignancy, Failure to Thrive, GI Bleed, Alcoholism, Overdose, Anemia, UTI, Sepsis, Diabetes Management, COPD, Wound Care, Cirrhosis, COVID, Hip Fractures, Ureteral Stones (Lithotripsy), Joint Repair, Vascular, Pneumothorax 3. Certifications: BLS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (standard requirement) 4. License: Pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: AM shift, every other weekend; holiday rotation required; staff must work one summer and one winter holiday; float to other units at times to cover staffing needs; ratios 1:6; orientation is 24 hours with first day being Employee Health only, first actual shift begins Tuesday 8. RTO: If one holiday falls in assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two; all RTO must be included in submission notes and assignment confirmation documents 9.
