- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of Med/Surg experience required; Stepdown/PCU experience required as nurses will float to PCU unit as needed 2. Cases: Med/Surg Oncology unit; patient diagnoses include GYN surgeries, wounds, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, chest pain, AKI, dialysis, ETOH, liver failure, oncology, and end of life care 3. Certifications: BCLS/BLS required; skills required include IV starts, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, heparin, insulin, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, surgical drains, telemetry remote monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams, wound care/wound vac 4. License: Must already be SC licensed; facility will not accept any license hits 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Weekdays, every other weekend, float, and holidays as needed; patient ratios 6:1 days, nights, and weekends; float required to PCU and Med/Surg 8. RTO: Pre-approved time off: two 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Cannot live within 50 miles of facility 11. Background: Facility will not accept any background hits 12. Modules: Not specified 13.
