Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of Med/Surg experience required; Stepdown/PCU experience also required as nurses may float to PCU unit 2. Cases: Med/Surg Oncology; diagnoses include GYN surgeries, wounds, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, chest pain, AKI, dialysis, ETOH, liver failure, oncology, and end of life care 3. Certifications: BCLS/BLS required; IV start required; Skills include Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Colostomy/ileostomy care, Heparin, Insulin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, PCA, Peripheral Line Care, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Telemetry remote monitoring, Wound Care/Wound Vac 4. License: SC license required prior to submission; facility will not accept any license hits 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Weekdays, every other weekend, float, and holidays as needed; Patient ratio is 6:1 days, nights, and weekends; float to PCU and Med/Surg units required 8. RTO: Two pre-approved time off slots noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must live more than 50 miles from facility; first-time travelers accepted 11.
