- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; 1st time traveler accepted 2. Cases: True LDRP unit; delivers approximately 100 babies per month; labor ratio 1:1; mother/baby ratio 1:3-4 couplets; teaching hospital with family medicine and OBGYN residency; in-house OB Hospitalist and dedicated anesthesiologist 24/7 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate required; ACLS and AWHONN Advanced preferred; all must be in hand at time of submittal 4. License: Not specified beyond RN 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights; every third weekend required; self-scheduling; 36 orientation hours 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: All clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler; a 6-month break must be taken before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 70 miles of facility are considered locals; locals are not accepted 11. Background: COVID-19 vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions not accepted, no exceptions; OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start ($22 agency cost); travelers must shave for fit testing or risk cancellation; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and travelers may not use their own 12. Modules: Non-billable; RN modules up to 5-6 hours; completed pre-start; recorded on transcripts 13. Travel Experience: Not required; 1st time traveler accepted 14.
