- Unit Notes:- Hiring Process: Candidate Interview- Interview with MedSol Clinical Team- No Unit Manager involvement - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote Unit L&D/PP/MB - # L&D Beds: 12 Bed LDRP - # OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections?: 1 C-Section Room - # births a year: 300 - Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: 1:1 for Labor Patients, 1:2-3 for Couplets - Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS, AWHONN intermediate or advanced OR C-EFM, NRP - Experience or 'Must have' skills: "Must have 1 year of LDRP experience within the last 3 years - Must be comfortable caring for antepartum, intrapartum, and post-partum - Must have triage experience - Must be comfortable circulating and recovering C-Sections - Prefer prior travel experience" - Are RNs required to titrate drips?; Pitocin, Mag - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): "7-7, Schedule is made out by leadership for 6 wks at a time, travelers are expected to be flexible and help to fill gaps in permanent scheduling. All time off requests need to be submitted prior to starting assignment" - Weekend Requirements: 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule - Holiday Requirements May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation - Is there a call or standby requirement?: Rare, for low census - Floating Requirements?: None; If an extreme need - could float within Zone 3: OCH, LUH, SAH, SAN - Scrub Color/Dress code: Provided- Blue Hospital Scrubs - Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-3 Shifts with Preceptor - Additional Notes: At times the unit will take overflow mastectomy patients (travelers would recieve orientation to these patients). Typically just an overnight stay and then go home the next day. Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level:3 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:Nights, 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule, If an extreme need - could float within Zone 3: OCH, LUH, SAH, SAN Required Certifications:AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
