- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of L&D experience required 2. Cases: Level 4 L&D unit with approximately 450 deliveries per month; patient diagnoses not specified 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; AWHONN Advanced required (NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced) 4. License: Valid compact or state RN license required in hand at time of submission; Ohio fingerprinting must be completed as soon as contract is signed 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, 7P-7:30A, 36 hours; may be required to float to Antepartum and different units within the OSU organization as needed; weekend coverage required; patient ratio 1:1 days and nights 8. RTO: Must be submitted with submission and built into contract; pre-approved time off limited to two; candidates with vacation immediately after booking should be screened due to fingerprinting delays 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible after being away from the facility for 6 months or more; current OSU employees are ineligible as travelers at any OSU hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate 11. Background: Ohio fingerprinting required urgently upon contract signing; candidates outside Ohio within driving distance must drive to an Ohio fingerprinting location; extreme distance candidates will be mailed a fingerprinting packet 12. Modules: Orientation is 36 hours; compliance deadline is the Tuesday prior to start with no exceptions 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — medical exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start — no exceptions. All candidates must be aware of the urgency of the Ohio fingerprinting process. Submit to one location only.
