- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; 1st-time travelers not accepted; previous travel experience required 2. Cases: Labor (vaginal), C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, D&C; patient population includes neonates/infants and adults 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by AHA standard); copies required at submission 4. License: GA or Compact RN license required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; Pyxis and SBAR also used 7. Shifts/Call: AM and PM shift — 2 calls required per 6 weeks; 3 weekend shifts per contract; floating within facility/scope of practice as needed; self-scheduling; 24 orientation hours 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission — no RTO or schedule requests post-offer or onsite; Spring Break blackout (April 4th-12th); if 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if 3 holidays fall during assignment, 1 holiday RTO may be considered; travelers expected to work major holidays falling within their assignment (1 or 2 = work all; 3 = work two) 9. Returning Staff: Perm/Per Diem/FCSS must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before applying as a traveler; if canceled or facility DNR, traveler must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying and ensure profile reflects all time worked at Piedmont Health 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same bill rate; previous charge experience preferred 11. Background: Not specified 12.
