- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; previous charge experience preferred 2. Cases: Various neurological diagnoses; neuro-interventional procedures such as neuro-angiograms; patients range from outpatients to critical ICU patients; procedural sedation administration (typically fentanyl and versed) 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; ACLS required by compliance hard document deadline; must be obtained prior to compliance deadline (not required at time of submittal unless noted); all certifications must be in hand by compliance deadline 4. License: MO — submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state). IL — license in hand required at time of submittal. Compact — must match permanent residence, otherwise submit for update and confirm ETA 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic; must pass Relias EKG exam prior to start 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10, 07:30-18:00; call is required. Weeknight call (Monday-Thursday, 1800-0730) occurring 3 or 4 times during the 13-week contract. Weekend call (Friday 1800-Monday 0730) occurring 1 or 2 weekends during the 13-week contract. Agency RNs may be designated once per week to stay past end of shift to complete procedures (referred to as "Backup"). Agency RNs expected to work every 5th or 6th Saturday 0800-1600 as needed 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; 7+ days requires manager approval, including any holiday RTO; no new RTO after submission; no RTO allowed the first week of an assignment 9. Returning Staff: 18 months with a 3-month break in service required. Permanent employees across BJC and/or Saint Lukes must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler. BJC does not permit contractors to cancel a signed contract to accept another BJC assignment; mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed; if canceled at contractor's discretion, must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity 10. Travel/Local: No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius; no local travelers allowed except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants 11. Modules: Completed pre-start via WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report; billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr; required for RNs and do not differ per specialty; must be started within 1 week of signed contract and completed 2 Fridays prior to start date to avoid delay; labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing 13. Special Equipment: Screen if missing any required skills; required skills include Activated Clotting Time (ACT), Angioplasty, Carotid Angiography, Carotid Stenting, Cerebral Angiography, Emergency Medications, Endovascular Interventions, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, Interventional Radiology, Monitoring Procedural Sedation, Neurologic Thrombolysis, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale, Starting and maintaining IVs, Thrombolytics, Ventilator Management Critical: Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before the initial start date. Fit testing required — travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper mask fit testing or will be expected to shave; no exceptions. Confirm shift in submittal. Contract length is firm.
