- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; 1st-time travelers acceptable 2. Cases: Medical ICU and surgical ICU patients except cardiac; occasional pediatrics; post code, post stroke, TPA, respiratory failure, dialysis 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; PALS preferred; must be in hand at submission 4. License: Georgia Nursing License required; must match name on Driver's License and Social Security Card; original documents only, no copies accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; no training available; travelers will be tested during orientation (EKG, Med Test, EPIC, Critical Care exams for ICU); provide how recent Epic usage was and total amount of experience; notify AM if RN does not have Epic experience 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours) or 4x12-hour shifts (48 hours); every other weekend coverage required; float required to PCU and occasionally MS/Tele (max 4 patients on float); patient ratio 1:2 days and nights; limited to no OT available 8. RTO: Must be presented upfront or will not be approved; no pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Facility is sensitive to DNRs; may be redirected 10. Travel/Local: No local travelers; must live outside 50 miles 11. Background: Drugs/alcohol-related items on DS, BGH, or Nursys will result in candidate not being considered 12. Modules: Non-billable; 8 hours; completed during orientation; may need to be completed outside orientation depending on self-pacing; Epic training is separate and part of orientation hours, not module hours; up to 3 exams (EKG, Med Test, Epic, Critical Care for ICU); two attempts allowed to pass; study guides provided 13.
