- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required for submission 2. Cases: Elective and emergency surgeries for adults and pediatric patients; variety of service-specific specialties across 23 ORs and 1 procedure room 3. Certifications: Must be a Certified Surgical Tech, or must have worked as a tech in NY prior to 2015 4. License: NY license required and must be in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Foreign education must be flagged to account manager at time of submittal for verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10, 0700-1700; 1 call shift per week and 1 weekend per month; candidates will float 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days of RTO 9. Returning Staff: 1-year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 75 miles from facility; locals not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total module time may reach 10 hours; any time exceeding 5 hours is non-billable; completed pre-start, vary by specialty; recorded via facility report 13.
