- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty required 2. Cases: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response (dysrhythmia interpretation/management, multi-system organ failure, 12-lead EKG); Thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia); IV insulin protocol; GI surgery; Chronic/Acute Renal failure; IV therapy (Ports, Arterial lines, Blood Products, Central lines, PICC lines); Medications (IV paralytics, sedation, emergency meds, procedural sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drips); Neurological (CVA/Stroke, EVD, Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Lumbar drains, Post Neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, TBI); Respiratory/Thoracic (BiPAP, CPAP, Chest Tube, Ventilator management, HFNC, ABG interpretation, Suctioning); Professional (Infection/Isolation Precautions/PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds/Wound Vac) 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; CCRN preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross; copies required at submission including Nursys or Allied License verifications 4. License: MN RN License; license in hand preferred; otherwise must apply through Aya project at time offer is accepted; pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic/Excellian preferred; required for some positions — confirmed required for this position 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 Nights (1900-0730); up to every other weekend required; may be placed on call as needed; will float to other units including ED, Med Surg, and as an attendant; client may cancel up to 3 shifts without penalty; on-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; any vacation plans between sign date and start date must be communicated to the Account Manager at time of submission; Date of Birth, SSN, and RTO must be included in initial submission 9. Returning Staff: Traveler must be gone 3 months from last shift worked as Perm (Staff or Per Diem); Allina does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius enforced; locals not accepted; exception applies to Radiology positions only 11. Background: Cannot proceed if there is an open case; all hits reviewed during compliance process and cannot be screened prior to signing; fingerprinting required — only 25 states outside Minnesota can perform LiveScan prints; results can take 1 day to 3-4 weeks; candidates will not be cleared to start without fingerprint results on file; no exceptions 12. Modules: Pre-start modules required; average 8 hours; travelers receive $150 stipend for completion; all onsite modules (Excellian/Epic classes) are billable; recorded by transcripts; compliance document deadline is the Monday prior to start 13.
