- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers not accepted 2. Cases: Stroke, Cardiac, Sepsis, Vascular, Cardiothoracic; CRRT, IABP, Swan Ganz catheters, Impella are hard stop requirements 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; CCRN preferred; all listed requirements are a hard stop 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License required at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting required 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratio 1:2; 4 weekend shifts per month required; no call requirement; float required to other ICUs (MICU, Neuro, TICU, Burn); holiday requirement yes 8. RTO: Strict 5-day maximum RTO; pre-approved time off listed as one 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff must leave the health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Locals (anyone within 75 miles) accepted at local rate regardless of specialty 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission along with a personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable; RN modules range 5-8 hours; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: Required; unit does not accept first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Navy blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required, no exemptions; COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: CRRT, IABP, Swan Ganz catheters, Impella listed as hard stop requirements Critical: Hardtop deadline is the Wednesday prior to a Monday start date. Two recent manager references required. Travelers can only submit to one campus at a time. All listed requirements are a hard stop.
