- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 1 year acute experience minimum 2. Cases: DKA, Covid, Medical diagnosis associated with acute alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, Respiratory distress, CHF exacerbation, ACS-STEMI, Acute HF, decompensated HF, Pulmonary Edema, Arrhythmias, Post arrest, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, ARDS, Anaphylactic shock, Status Epilepticus, Hypertensive Crisis 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS/BLS, MAB required; must be AHA certifications 4. License: MI License required in hand 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required/preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend coverage; 6 weekend shifts per contract; may float to Monroe and other like units; patient ratio 1:3 all shifts 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off; no more than 7 days without manager approval; no holidays or eves/days after holidays 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 1 year from permanent staff 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; local travelers not accepted 11. Background: Ohio facilities require fingerprinting for specific units; FBI/BCI results take 4-6 weeks 12. Modules: First 4 hours non-billable; exceeding 4 hours billable up to 8 additional hours; completed during orientation and annually 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; will evaluate first-time travelers case-by-case 14. Scrubs: Navy and White 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Ceiling lifts in all rooms, Pyxis medication system, cardiac monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP Critical: Two references from last 24 months required. Float pool position with expectation to float down in acuity. COVID-19 vaccine required with exemptions only. 12-hour orientation required.
