- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years ICU experience required; CVICU experience highly preferred 2. Cases: Medical/Surgical ICU cases 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIH required (CPI can be obtained at facility for $100); must be able to care for isolation patients including Covid-19 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License required at submission; cannot accept pending 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 1:2 ratio, sometimes flexes to 1:3; weekends required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule); no call required; float required to all ICUs, may float to ED/PACU for ICU patients, occasionally to MS/PCU with 1:4 ratios 8. RTO: Limited to 5 days total 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff must leave health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Travelers can only submit to 1 campus at a time 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at submission with personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable, 5-8 hours for RN, completed pre-start, recorded by facility education department 13.
