- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; community hospital experience required; patient ratio experience of 2 required 2. Cases: Cardiovascular experience required; open heart and balloon pump (IABP) experience required; CVICU experience noted 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; VIP, MAB, or CPI certifications required — in-person courses only; Relias EKG Test required prior to start; Onsite EKG Competency required; must be AHA (implied by in-person requirement for listed certs) 4.
