- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers must have minimum 2 years ICU experience from a 400-bed or larger facility 2. Cases: ICU Float Pool covering 8SCCT (Neuro), 7SCCT (Resp failure, Vent support, hemodynamic instability), 6SCCT/4SCCT (Acute myocardial infarction with complications/hemodynamic instability), 5SCCT (GU, GI bleeds, Environmental injuries, Shocks, Massive Transfusion), Transplant float (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Heart/Lung); Overflow PACU, MS/Tele/PCU, Stepdown; Transplant experience preferred; EVD experience preferred; CRRT preferred 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; CCRN preferred; must be AHA or equivalent; EKG Exam administered first day of orientation — must pass to proceed; Relias EKG Exam also required; Swan Ganz skills checklist required — HARD STOP if not rated 3-4 on additional skills list or has not performed in last 6 months 4. License: CA RN License required; must be active at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7.
