- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years current experience required 2. Cases: CVA (ischemic & hemorrhagic), TIA, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, ALS, Post IVR, Post tPA, Post craniotomy; skills include care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, EVD, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post neurosurgery management, procedural sedation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and ventilator management 3. Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS, and NIHSS required; must be in hand at time of submittal; certifications may not expire within 45 days of start date 4. License: TN/compact RN license required; must be in hand at time of submittal; license may not expire within 45 days of start date; address on license must match W4 and permanent address 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred, not required unless specifically noted 7. Shifts/Call: Float required — may float within hospital and to other Covenant system hospitals within skill set or as "Task RN"; minimum 2 hours notice for float; 2 weekends per month or every other weekend; patient ratio 1:2-3 (Neuro ICU); call not required 8. RTO: No RTO within 14 days of start date; RTO cannot exceed 7 days; no major holiday RTO including holiday weekends and surrounding days — specific holidays listed: Valentine's Day, Local Spring Break (3/9-3/15/26), Easter (4/5/26), Mother's Day (5/10/26), Memorial Day (5/22-5/25/26), Father's Day (6/21/26), Independence Day (7/3-7/5/26), Labor Day (9/4-9/7/26), Local Fall Break (10/5-10/11/26), Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day; no blocked scheduling requests — no exceptions; travelers may address holiday RTO directly with manager after arriving onsite 9. Returning Staff: Cannot return to the same campus where they were permanent staff within 24 months; may return to another Covenant Health campus after 12 months; travel team members who are related or married cannot work on the same unit 10. Travel/Local: Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from contracted facility; locals within 75 miles accepted at $10 less than traveler bill rate; proof of residency required within 48 hours of acceptance (mortgage/lease agreement plus utility bill) 11.
