- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year CVICU experience required (dedicated CVICU staff experience); 2 years listed in system requirements; Level 1 Trauma experience preferred 2. Cases: CVICU with direct from OR open heart recovery, post-op valve replacement/repair, aneurysm repair, ARDS proning; patient diagnoses include STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF, heart failure, sepsis, respiratory failure, valve stenosis/insufficiency, AFIB, chest pain, DVT, cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by standard); must be able to read and interpret strips; EKG/dysrhythmia competency exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing 4. License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted for submission; Ohio license not required in hand at signing; candidates with any past license disciplinary action will not be accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required for all inpatient nursing roles 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour shifts available; OT paid after 48 hours on 48-hour contracts; must be available every other weekend/holiday; patient ratio 1:2; Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract; traveler will be first to float within specialty clusters or to nearby Premier hospitals 8. RTO: Must be requested at initial submittal; no RTO added after offer; approval at manager's discretion; maximum of 14 days allowed per contract; no schedule requests or RTO negotiated after offer is made 9. Returning Staff: Any previous permanent/PRN staff employee of Premier Health Partners or prior agency not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before applying as a traveler; must disclose prior employment including facility, unit name, and dates; facility rehire approval required before proceeding with any offer; failure to disclose negatively impacts candidate and may result in cancellation 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile local radius for nursing; local travelers not accepted; first-time travelers accepted; if assigned to MVH, floating may include main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville, less than 10 miles), and north campus (Englewood, less than 15 miles) 11. Background: Candidates with any past license disciplinary action will not be accepted 12. Modules: Up to 24 hours of orientation modules are billable; 28 orientation hours listed 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience preferred but not required; first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Navy blue scrubs required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required; medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Chest tubes, temporary pacers, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ECMO, Impella pump, EKOS Critical: Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing. EKG/dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing. Available start date, RTO, and any schedule requests must be listed on the front page of the application at time of submission.
