- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years Critical Care experience preferred; will consider strong candidates with less than 3 years; strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke) 2. Cases: Neurosurgical and post-stroke, Respiratory Failure, Renal Failure, Post-surgical, Trauma, Sepsis and MODS, Heart failure and post-cardiac cath 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; must be American Heart Association 4. License: VA or Compact license in hand at time of submittal; no exceptions; Nursys report required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic proficiency required; no exceptions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 (OT billed after 48 on 4x12); nights, weekdays, every other weekend, float, holidays within contract; 48-hour contract with OT after 48 available; must indicate candidate preference; must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit, ED, and MedSurg 8. RTO: Required with submission; reviewed and approved on a per case basis; no pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: No RN candidates accepted if permanent address is less than 50 miles from facility; drivers license required for address verification prior to offer acceptance 11. Background: Facility will not accept any prior license or background hits; any history eliminates candidate from consideration; no exceptions; fit test issues also eliminate candidate — PAPR cannot be accommodated 12. Modules: 3 hours required; billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15.
