- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi experience required; specific skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, multisystem organ dysfunction, neurological cases (CVA, spinal cord injury, TBI), pediatric cases (abdominal pain, asthma, head injury, abuse identification, infections, poisoning, respiratory infections, seizures, skin disorders), psychiatric cases (acute psychosis, drug overdose, violent behavior management, suicidal patients), respiratory cases (chest tube insertion/management, intubation) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required; must be AHA or Red Cross only (RQI cards not accepted) 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts (15:00-03:30); work every other weekend; 14 weekend shifts per contract; no on-call required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 or fewer non-holiday days; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius requirement for ED RN (50+ mile requirement applies only to OR RN) 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start; first day is virtual at-home; strict deadline of 4PM CST on Day 1 13.
