- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission (1 year listed in job description, but Sutter submission rules require at least 2 years unless otherwise stated) 2. Cases: Abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial line management, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, burns, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA, drug overdose, emergency medications, epiglottitis, general emergency department combined adult/pedi, head injury, hyperglycemia, ICP monitoring, identify/report neglect or abuse, infection, interpretation of ABGs, interpretation of dysrhythmias, intubation, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, manage/apply splints, management of dysrhythmias, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, managing violent behavior, mental/behavioral health conditions, near drowning, neuro-trauma, obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, ortho trauma, phlebotomy, poison ingestion, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, psychiatric hold, respiratory infection, seizures, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, STEMI certified facility, stroke certified facility, suicidal patient, traumatic amputation, traumatic brain injury, triage, urinary tract infection 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required; must be AHA or ARC; copies with valid expiration dates required at submission 4.
