- Unit Notes:- Unit: ER - they prefer candidates who have level III trauma experience or above - # beds: 15 beds, 6 bed fast track that is open from 9am-10pm - Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS - Ratios: 1 to 4 typically just depends on pt acuity - EMR: Cerner (First Net) - Charge Nurse: yes - will take a small pt load if needed - Nurse Aides: yes, unit secretary on 24/7, tech on for 20 hrs out of the day - Weekend Requirement: every other - Holidays: work into perm staff rotationo - Scrub Color: navy - Tele: phillips -central monitor tech in ICU monitoring ER pts strips as well - Vents: yes - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: will have 1 physician on at all times, midlevels 9am-2am usually - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7 yes - Shifts: 12 hrs, 7-: 9-9 10-10 11-11 2-2, schedules made out 30-45 days in advance, - Floating: NO - Floor specific orientation: 2-3 days on unit - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: stroke, abd pain, ortho injuries, anything and everything, get a lot of psych patients - Additional Notes: must have 3-5 years experience in specialty, they have about 100 patient visits per day and they see about 500-600 pediatric patients per month Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level:3 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12 hr Nights, EOW, First to Float Required Certifications:ACLS, BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required (Certification), PALS
