- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required 2. Cases: Non-Trauma Emergency Department; Primary Stroke and STEMI Center; typical ED diagnoses; occasional OB patients requiring management of mother/baby until transfer; patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required; CPI and MAB preferred; must be AHA or equivalent; copies required at submission 4. License: Missouri or Compact RN License required; Kansas license also required (both must be in hand at time of submission; unwillingness to obtain will result in cancellation); pending licenses not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; 3 hours of pre-start non-billable Epic modules required; RNs may choose Epic test-out option or Epic module; complete Epic training first 7. Shifts/Call: Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed; 8-10 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) per 6-week scheduling period; no on-call required; no block schedule; patient ratio 1:4 days, nights, and weekends; floating required between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed; guaranteed hours 3 shifts per 13 weeks 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; 7 or more days must be sent for approval; any holiday RTO must also be sent for approval 9.
