- Unit Notes:**Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.** Trauma Level? STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center? Trauma Level IV. Do not receive STEMI's. Not a stroke center # Beds/Trauma Bays 8 total beds 2 of those are trauma bays, also have 4 beds in OR that we can use for overflow Do you have a Fast Track No No fast track area, but have urgent care in our ER M-F 5-8p and Sa/Su 10a-2p Do you have a separate Triage area? If so, do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? No separate triage area. Pull to full in ER rooms. Travelers are expected to triage. Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? No Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? No Not a separate room, we do have a behavioral health room, but is also used as a general treatment room. Is Security in-house 24/7? Housed in the ER? No On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day? 22 Nurse: Patient Ratios 1 to 4 Depends on acuity Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS?) BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP Common diagnoses/Types of patients Chest pain, abdominal pain, weakness normal ER patients Experience or 'Must have' skills Common drips? ED Physician/Mid-Levels 1 ER MD on, no mid-levels Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge nurse - yes, they take assignment Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? Ratios? Duties? Nurse aids at times At times will have CAN that can do IV starts, EKGs, sitter duties, etc Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABG's, breathing Tx, & EKG's? No No RT at all RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? Yes, RN's are required to be knowledgeable in all these areas. Training can be provided Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the Tele monitors? No monitor techs. RN's are required to read their own strips X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? X-ray and CT in house 24/7. No "set" transport Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw? Both Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) No self scheduling, attempt to block schedule, but not always pending vacation requests Weekend Requirements Every third Holiday Requirements Every third Is there call or a standby requirement?
