Travel Nurse (RN) ER (Emergency Room) Easton, MD

$2,865 to $3,115 weekly

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – ER

Shift: Rotating Nights/Evenings, 7p-7:30a / 3p-3:30a, 12×4, 48 hrs per week, every other weekend

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active MD or Compact RN License at time of submission
• 2 years of experience, first-time traveler accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel experience not required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (may be completed during onboarding; Calm Every Storm is the only acceptable online vendor)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS must be through AHA
• Preferred: NRP (NRP or AAP accepted), TNCC

Other Details:

• Rotation based on scheduling needs of the department; primary need is night shift at this time
• Floating required within ED specialty, including sister ED facilities as needed; must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions or special requests – travelers are first to float
• Holidays required as they fall, as scheduled
• Pre-scheduled on-call shifts not required
• Very fast-paced ED setting; diagnoses vary but inclusive of all systems and complex diagnoses
• Patient ratio: 1:4, can be up to 5 with lower acuity
• Patient age range: all ages (infant to geriatric)
• 36 beds, 32 rooms, approximately 90 visits per day
• STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility
• Pre-approved time off: 1 request; max 7 days can be requested; if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week must be added to the back end
• Schedule restrictions cannot be requested or guaranteed
• Auto Offer: candidate must accept without an interview
• Flu vaccine required, no exemptions
• Return travelers must be away for at least 6 months from the system after completion of assignment; former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as a traveler
• Locals not accepted: permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility
