- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 18 months if not otherwise listed. Previous charge experience preferred. 2. Cases: General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi), Level II Trauma Center required. Extensive required case experience including cardiac, neurological (CVA, ICP monitoring, TBI, spinal cord injury), orthopedic trauma, pediatric (asthma, burns, seizures, sickle cell crisis, near drowning, etc.), psychiatric (acute psychosis, drug overdose, suicidal patients, managing violent behavior), respiratory (chest tube, CPAP/BiPAP, intubation, ventilated patients), and shock/trauma (gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation). Primary Stroke Center and STEMI Certified Facility. 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC required. NRP, ENPC, and Stable Skills noted with asterisk. AHA or American Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted. Copies required at submission. 4. License: Active IL license required in hand at time of submission. SSN and DOB required at submittal. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred. Position-specific; confirm via job post details. 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 or 3x12 Nights (1900-0730). No on-call required. Will float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed. Will work weekends as needed. Block scheduling not available. Patient ratio is 1:4 for all shifts. 8. RTO: Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO auto-approved. Anything beyond 5 days requires facility approval. Candidate MUST work 2 out of 3 major holidays. RTO and start date must be confirmed accurate at submission. Up to 2 pre-approved days noted in unit details. 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as a traveler. 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; no radius restriction for ED RN. OR RN specialty requires 50 miles or more from facility. 11. Background: Any background check hits must be noted upon submission so approval can be sought prior to offer. 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours. Completed pre-start, renewed annually. Non-clinical hours are fixed; clinical module hours may vary. First day of assignment is a virtual at-home day; candidates must check for additional modules. Strict deadline of 4PM CST on Day 1. Module logins assigned and sent prior to start. 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required. 14. Scrubs: Royal blue. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only. 16. Special Equipment: GE Cardiac Monitors, Zoll Defibrillators, OMNIcell for medication dispensing, Belmont rapid infuser, EPOC point-of-care lab instruments. Critical: Traveler must be PRE-CLOSED at time of submission and confirmed aware of role requirements. Provide 2-3 interview times upon submission. Lab appointment, DocuSign, and badge photo must be completed within 1 week of signing the contract. References can be submitted as pending. Compliance with housing and contract completion required; this is a sensitive account.
