- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted. Previous charge experience required. 2. Cases: End stage renal disease; adults to geriatrics. Includes hemodialysis on inpatients in dialysis bay and bedside, AV fistula and graft cannulation, permcath access, dressing changes, medication administration, blood transfusions, and care of COVID dialysis patients. 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS noted. Must be current and in hand at time of submittal. 4. License: GA or Compact RN license required at time of submission. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic required; Pyxis, SBAR also listed. 7. Shifts/Call: 36 hours per week; minimum 12 hours of call as needed; call required 1-2 times per week. Every other weekend required. Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed. 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days per contract. ALL RTO must be finalized at time of submission. No RTO or schedule requests permitted post-offer or onsite. If 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested. If 3 holidays fall during assignment, 1 holiday RTO may be considered. 9. Returning Staff: Perm/Per Diem/FCSS must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before applying as a traveler. If canceled or facility DNR, traveler must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying and ensure profile reflects all time worked at Piedmont Health. 10.
