- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2.5 years required for submission 2. Cases: CVOR and Hybrid Room (circulate required, scrub preferred); Transplant experience required (cardiac, lung, and/or kidney highly preferred); Cardiovascular: valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, VATs; Vascular: endovascular AAA, carotid endarterectomy, arteriogram, angiogram, TCAR, AV fistula, femoral popliteal bypass graft; Float to Main OR for ortho, general, laparoscopic, GYN, robotic, ortho/neuro, vascular, and pediatric surgery 3. Certifications: BLS required; all certifications required at time of submission unless otherwise specified; must be in hand or indicate acquisition prior to start date 4. License: Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission; labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; 4 hours of Epic training (non-billable) included in modules 7. Shifts/Call: On-call 24 hours Saturday/Sunday (one weekend per month); on-call 8-hour shift 2 weekdays (either 3-11 or 11-7); facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; must work 2 of 3 holidays 8. RTO: Screenshot confirming RTO and schedule requests required at submission; submissions with less than 7 days RTO and no holiday time off prioritized; no RTO requests accommodated after offer; contract is expected to be traveler's primary work schedule 9. Returning Staff: RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must be absent from the RWJBH health system a minimum of 1 year before eligible to return for travel assignments; failing competency exams requires a 6-month break before resubmission 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate 11. Background: Open/active background hits and/or license hits not accepted; any international work history or permanent residency must be disclosed 12. Modules: RN average 18 hours of non-billable modules; 4 hours Epic training (non-billable); completed pre-start and annually; recorded by transcripts for onsite modules; RWJBH annuals, Baxter pump, and signed attestations are self-reported; Epic training is facility reported 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Hospital provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16.
