- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience required; no first-timers accepted; previous travel experience required 2. Cases: High acuity CVICU/CCU; acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, fluid overload, post cardiac arrest, complete heart block, cardiogenic shock, pre-heart transplant, arrhythmias, ventricular tachycardia, CABG, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, post cardiac surgery; no neuro ICU experience accepted 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, BSN required; must pass Relias EKG exam prior to start 4. License: Pending license accepted 5. Education: BSN required 6. EMR: Epic; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours per week available; every other weekend required; no on-call required; will float within service line when needed; patient ratio 1:2 all shifts; guaranteed 36 hours 8. RTO: Up to 2 requests allowed; no more than 40 hours (5 days) total time off during contract; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from facility 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-Start Modules: Must pass Relias EKG exam 13. Previous Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Navy Blue; wear scrubs to orientation 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only; COVID-19 vaccine not required 16. Special Equipment: Intra-aortic balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella; also ventilator management, arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, pacemakers, central lines, PA/TVP catheter monitoring, dialysis, foley Critical: 16 weeks preferred, 13 weeks accepted. Start date 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier. Candidate will be redirected if no CVICU experience in work history. Must be screened if missing any required skills.
