- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted to; CVICU experience required; Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area experience preferred; Basic Arrhythmia experience required 2. Cases: CABG, Valve Repair/Replacement, Aneurysm repair, Aortic dissection repair, LVAD, Heart transplant, Lung transplant, Thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, Cardiogenic shock, Heart failure, Arrhythmia management; Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from OR) preferred 3. Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required; WI RN or compact RN license required 4. License: WI RN license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Day/Night, 8/12 hr shifts, 0700-1930 or 1900-0730; every other weekend; some holidays; no call; travelers required to float as needed; 24 orientation hours; Pre-approved time off: two 8. RTO: Not specified beyond pre-approved time off of two 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius from facility; locals not accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-start Modules: Telemetry exam required prior to start; must pass with 80% or higher; two attempts allowed; if second attempt failed, must submit certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before third attempt; if third attempt failed, assignment will be cancelled; Adult Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms (VFib, VTach, Asystole) and no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions; Pediatric Exam requires identification of VFib, VTach, Asystole, and Sinus Bradycardia with 80% passing score 13.
