- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum; 2+ years CVICU/open heart experience required; will accept first time travelers with extensive experience 2. Cases: Cardiac Surgery (CABG, valve, cabg/valve), CAD (STEMI, NSTEMI, AFIB w RVR, cardiogenic shock), Vascular (peripheral bypasses, EVAR), Thoracic (VATS) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; AHA ONLY for BLS/ACLS/PALS; CPI Certificate required; NRP or AAP accepted 4. License: Active MD or Compact RN License required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Days 07:30-20:00; every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled; floating required within specialty, sister units, and lower acuity 8. RTO: Max 7 days can be requested; if more than 4 consecutive days, additional week added to back end; one major holiday off allowed during winter season 9. Returning Staff: Former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as traveler; return travelers must be away 6 months from system 10.
