Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Fresh open heart surgical patients, CABG, Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, CVVHD/CRRT, interpretation of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery (directly and not directly from OR) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Stroke CEUs required; all certifications required at time of submission unless otherwise specified; may be obtained prior to start date 4. License: Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission; valid NJ State License or Compact License required for nursing at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic; 4 hours of Epic training (non-billable) included in modules 7. Shifts/Call: 35.25 hrs/week; every other weekend required; must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays; contract is expected to be traveler's primary work schedule; floating required to CCU/CTICU, ICU, and/or stepdown within skillset, no exceptions; ratios 1:2 per regulation, can go to 1:3 based on acuity; fresh cardiac open heart patients are 1:1 8. RTO: Less than 7 days of RTO and no holiday time off will be prioritized; screenshot of candidate confirming RTO schedule requests required at submission; RTO requested after offer will NOT be accommodated; must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays; schedule requests cannot be accommodated unless approved at time of booking 9. Returning Staff: RWJBH staff (full time or PRN) must be gone from the RWJBH health system a minimum of 1 year before eligible to return for travel assignments 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate; maximum of 3 submissions per candidate per facility 11. Background: Open/active background hits and/or license hits NOT accepted; any international work history or permanent residency MUST be disclosed 12. Modules: Non-billable; 4 hours of Epic training plus up to 18 additional hours; RN average 18 hours non-billable; Allied average 1 hour non-billable; completed pre-start and annually; recorded by transcripts for onsite modules; RWJBH annuals, Baxter pump, and signed attestations are self-reported; Epic training is facility-reported 13.
