- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years CVICU experience required 2. Cases: Post-sternotomy patients, coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair, aortic dissection, carotid endarterectomy, lobectomy, mediastinoscopy, cardiothoracic procedures, vascular patients with extensive co-morbidities 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Associate degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's degree preferred) 6. EMR: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required 7. Shifts/Call: 3 x 12hr shifts, weekend coverage every other weekend, patient ratios 1:2 days/nights/weekends 8. RTO: Not specified 9. Returning Staff: Cannot extend for 4th consecutive contract; must convert to employee after third consecutive 13-week contract or take minimum six-month separation 10. Travel/Local: Must be 100+ miles from every Prisma facility for full rate; 90-99.9 miles accepted at 10% reduction; Adult ICU must be 50+ miles from relevant flagship hospital 11. Background: Must send social security number with submittal 12. Modules: Billable up to 16 hours, completed pre-start within 48 hours of receiving login, not included in NBO, completed annually 13. Travel Experience: Yes, travel experience required 14. Scrubs: Green scrubs or scrubs provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Centrimag, VAD, PA catheters Critical: Orientation every Monday, 48 orientation hours, floating required to qualified units, pre-assignment testing required.
