- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted to; ICU experience required 2. Cases: Burn patients (travelers may be assigned but will not be asked to perform burn cares); complex wounds; off-service ICU and IMC; Level One Trauma Center 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required — AHA ONLY; PALS preferred; WI RN or compact RN license 4. License: Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts between 1900-0730; every other weekend and some holidays required; travelers required to float as needed; self-scheduling 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-start Modules: Telemetry exam required prior to start; two attempts allowed; must score 80% or higher; Adult Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms and no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions; Pediatric Exam requires identification of VF, VT, asystole, and sinus bradycardia; if traveler fails second attempt, must submit certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt; assignment cancelled if failed after three attempts 13.
