Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 3 years required; 5 years preferred 2. Cases: Extensive skill set required across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, Immunology/Serology, Microbiology, Specimen Processing, and Urinalysis (see full skills list in VMS notes); Roche Cobas preferred 3. Certifications: ASCP-MLS and CA RN License required; copies required at time of submittal 4. License: Valid CA License required at time of submission; Nursys not mentioned 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech Expanse; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Scheduling type listed as "Other"; up to every weekend may be required; call not specified 8. RTO: Always requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm travelers must have been gone at least 1 year and require facility approval 10. Travel/Local: Travelers within 50 miles are NOT accepted; travel pairs accepted 11. Background: License hits accepted on a case-by-case basis; facility must be informed of any hits at time of submission 12. Modules: Not required 13. Travel Experience: Not required; first-time traveler acceptable 14. Scrubs: Business casual dress code with lab coat; lab coat provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required; Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations allowed. COVID-19 vaccine also required with booster; Medical/Religious Exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: XN-2000, UN-3000, Stago COMPACT MAX, Biofire, Cepheid, Echo Critical: Labs must be completed within 24 hours of signing contract. Two supervisor references preferred. If submitting to multiple positions, all positions applied to must be disclosed at time of submission. Orientation is 36-48 hours (more as needed).
