Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum required; will accept first time travelers 2. Cases: Med surgical/tele floor; patient diagnoses include PNA, COPD, CHF, Diabetes, NSTEMI, CVA, TIA, Afib-flutter, Covid, Sepsis, UTI, respiratory failure, dementia; surgical cases include total joints, amputations, GI surgeries 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, telemetry, NIHSS required 4. License: VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend coverage required; candidates will float within scope if needed 8. RTO: No more than 4 days per 6 weeks; must make up time off at end of contract; no time off granted during first week; RTO must be included at submission 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone for one year before eligible to return as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same base rate; no radius rules for applicants 11. Background: Facility will review all background hits 12. Modules: 6 hours average during orientation via VCU Learning Exchange; non-billable, factored in NBO; must be completed by Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: Will accept first time travelers 14. Scrubs: Natural nail policy required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, isolation precautions/PPE Critical: Manager will interview. Patient ratio 4-6. Two references required. 24-hour orientation. ER and Psych candidates require fingerprinting with 15-20 business day turnaround.
