Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Medical diagnosis with focus on pulmonary patients; patient ratio 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required (must include current NIHSS cert in submission if available); ACLS, BLS, NIHSS listed in system 4. License: NY license required in hand - no exceptions 5. Education: Alert account manager if traveler has foreign education requiring verification 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights 1900-0700; every other weekend; float to ICU or MS required 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; pre-approved time off limited to one 9. Returning Staff: 1 year policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be 75 mile radius; candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Any combo of navy and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: First time travelers accepted. Patient ratios: Days 3:1, Nights 4:1, Weekends 3:1. 24 orientation hours. Skills include telemetry, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, cardiac drips management (no titration), central line care.
