- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Medical diagnosis with focus on pulmonary patients; patient ratio 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg 3. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS required; valid NIHSS must be included in submission if available 4. License: NY license required in hand - no exceptions 5. Education: Foreign education requires verification - alert account manager at submittal 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights, every other weekend; floating required to ICU or MS 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; only one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius requirement; candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any combo of navy and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: 24-hour orientation. Patient ratios: days 3:1, nights 4:1, weekends 3:1.
