- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required (18 months per compliance notes) 2. Cases: Post-operative care of colorectal surgery patients; Level 1 Trauma Experience Preferred 3. Certifications: BCLS required 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: No specific charting required for any IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratios Days 4/6, Nights 5/7, Weekends 5/7; work every other weekend per contract; may work consecutive weekends based on operational needs 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: IU PERM or PRN employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; travelers with 12+ months at IU Health require designated break 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER positions; eligible locals offered in-state rate at lower bill rate 11.
