- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum; PCU/IMC experience within last 3 years required 2. Cases: Mixed acuity PCU, MS Tele and MS patients; surgical pre/post-op; ENT, general surgery, trauma surgery, ortho surgery; overflow medical patients 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TCAR preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: NY license required in hand for submission 5. Education: Foreign education must be verified - alert account manager at submission 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Ratios 1:3-5 days/weekends, 1:3-6 nights; float to sister units required; every other weekend 8. RTO: Maximum 10 days; cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO 9. Returning Staff: 1 year policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be >75 miles from facility; candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours but excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Mixed acuity unit equipment for PCU, MS Tele and MS patients Critical: 12-hour orientation; may float to West 2, West 3, and Observation units.
