Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Medical surgical/telemetry and progressive care for adult pre and post liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal transplant patients and intestinal rehabilitation patients 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH, CPI preferred 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; if not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period; Days: Saturday and Sunday; Nights: Friday night and Saturday night 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; no RTO during first week of orientation; RTO Blackout Dates: 6/11/26 - 6/22/26 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits for RRT and Radiology 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; 24 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 14. Scrubs: MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not Required 16. Special Equipment: Overhead lift equipment in every room; drips required (Nitro, Heparin, Insulin); may encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, Lasix Critical: 100% nicotine-free facility. Holiday requirement: must work 2/3 major holidays. Patient ratios 1:5 days/1:6 nights (rare 1:7 nights). Travelers first to float. Labs required within 48-72 hours of accepting offer.
