- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in past year; community hospital experience required; previous charge experience preferred 2. Cases: AMI, Cardiac Arrhythmia, Heart Failure, Chest Pain, Vascular/PVD, intermediate level of care, Sepsis/infection, Pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, SI, GI bleed 3. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS required, NIHSS required, CPI preferred 4. License: Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC required; 3 hours pre-start EMR modules; choice of EPIC test out or module 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratios 1:5; minimum 4 weekend shifts in 6 weeks; no on-call required; floating required between departments, units and facilities 8. RTO: 7 day maximum 9. Returning Staff: Tenure policy 18 months with 3-month break in service required 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius considered local; locals not accepted 11. Background: Diluted or positive drug screens result in cancellation and 6-month wait to reapply 12. Modules: 10-15 hours compliance modules due Monday 1 week prior to start; Infusion Pump and Glucometer training due Sunday before start 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required 14. Scrubs: Navy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Telemetry Critical: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing.
