- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; Cardiac PCU experience required 2. Cases: Focus on cardiac patients (Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrhythmias, pre/post cardiac catheterization, myocardial infarction, syncope, pacemaker placement); Secondary focus on respiratory problems (COPD, pneumonia, BiPAP) 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred; must be comfortable with 1:5 ratios 4. License: License in hand required with submission 5. Education: Education verification through 3rd party required; will not accept education from schools on Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit list 6. EMR: EPIC experience REQUIRED 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, Nights 7p-730a; Weekend rotation, holidays as needed; Patient ratios 1:4 with drips/bipap, otherwise mostly 1:5 8. RTO: RTO due at time of submission; RTO after submission will not be accepted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; No locals accepted; submission must include current DL to confirm address 11. Background: Will not accept any open cases on background check 12. Modules: 2-4 hours average, non-billable, completed during orientation, not included in NBO; unit-based hours vary 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers OK 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: BiPAP/CPAP, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Cardiac drips, Vasoactive drips, Telemetry monitoring Critical: All RNs required to pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed, no study material provided). All travelers subject to float to any Cone Health campus. Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
