Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Medical surgical/telemetry, orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, psychiatric illnesses; behavioral health patient population 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CPI preferred 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain, must be in hand or start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Float required within scope to meet facility needs; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26; no RTO during first week of orientation 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 14. Scrubs: Mandatory steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Patient ratios 1:5 days/1:6 nights (can be 1:7 nights rarely). Holiday requirement: must work 2/3 major holidays. Must be comfortable with behavioral health patients on secured 7th floor.
