Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Cardiovascular patients, heart and lung transplants, ventricular assist devices, ECMO patients 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred; NIHSS 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; if not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratios 1:2-3 days/1:2-3 nights; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period; travelers first to float 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; no RTO during first week of orientation; RTO blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits for RRT and Radiology 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; 36 or 48 hour orientation option 13. Travel Experience: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 14. Scrubs: MANDATORY - Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo; OR scrubs provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: ECMO, ventricular assist devices, Impella, arterial lines, ventilators, IABP Critical: 100% nicotine-free facility. Must work 2/3 major holidays. Drips required on all floors. Must go to labs within 48-72 hours of accepting offer. Level I trauma experience required.
