Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: COPD, Pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, chest pain rule out 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Alert account manager if traveler has foreign education requiring verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratios Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8; Weekend coverage EOW; Candidates will float 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted; Must be greater than 50 miles; Unit does not accept first-time travelers 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours, total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Yes, travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Any nursing uniform color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16.
