- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, cystic fibrosis 3. Certifications: BLS required; copy of certification required with submission 4. License: VA license accepted pending but must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratios 1:4 days/weekends, 1:5 nights; every other weekend, every other holiday; 24 orientation hours 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; permanent staff and internal travelers must be separated for one year and approved by UVA leadership; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of separation 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; locals not accepted for specific listed units 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed during orientation; vary by specialty; recorded in Workday 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
