- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years PICU experience required; must have PICU and NICU experience and be comfortable with peds 2. Cases: Pediatric float pool covering PICU, NICU, peds medsurg, peds PACU, peds ED boarders, and postpartum/mother baby 3. Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS required; Dr Browns Infant Driven Feeding Cert required but can submit pending ($185 cost); copies required with submissions 4. License: VA license (can submit with pending but must have in-hand Wednesday before start date); Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; 36 or 48 hours; every other weekend, every other holiday; block scheduling cannot be accommodated/guaranteed 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; must be separated for one year and approved by leadership; cannot return after working 365 days regardless of separation period 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction (this unit not listed as restricted) 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed during orientation; recorded in Workday; billable if exceeding 16 hours 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Must have minimum PICU experience and be comfortable with NICU, Acute pediatrics, and Pediatric ED Critical: Must adhere to UVA's float policy. Peds PACU experience highly preferred. References required. 60 hours orientation.
